According to one of the #GarudaSelect players, Ridwan Ansori, physical endurance is one of the requirements that must be owned by a professional footballer. After joining the #GarudaSelect Program, Ridwan realizes

how important a physical strength for a footballer, especially for a full-back like him.

As told by Ridwan, during six months in England, he had a lot of new experiences about how to strengthen and maintain physical condition.

“In the pre-season training, the exercises was very physically exhausting and we did it every day for about two months. Fortunately, we could support and encourage each other so that we could do it well.”

"Even though it was very tiring, actually it was one of the key factors for me to reach my current fitness level. Gradually my stamina and endurance increased and I was able to perform for a full- length match, ” said Ridwan.

For him, the character of the game of English football does require qualified physical fitness. But besides that, as Ridwan learned from the English academy players, another important thing is the strength of body muscles.

“The players in England are strong when they duel because they have very good muscle strength. During the #GarudaSelect program in England we regularly trained in gym sessions. After returning to Indonesia, I will ask from Coach Jake the materials on muscle strengthening training so that I can practice regularly here. I want to have a stronger body in order to be able to win any duel with the opponents, " Ridwan concluded.
