Score His First Goal, Ridho Praises His Team Mates

According to him, this would not have happened without a good teamwork and a good collective display.

Ridho Syuhada Putra scored his first goal for #GarudaSelect in a match against Mansfield Town U18, Tuesday (6/4), which ended in a 2-2 draw. According to him, this would not have happened without a good teamwork and a good collective display.

The fighting spirit of the squad under coach Dennis Wise and Des Walker deserves a thumbs up. They showed their mental toughness even though they had conceded an early goal just one minute after the start. They actually came back and manage to take lead thanks to Rafli Asrul (13 ') and Ridho (70'), before Mansfield equalized in the 77th minute.

"Overall I feel the team play was good. All the players were brave to duel for the ball, even though the opposing players had bigger postures," said the goalscorer Ridho, thanks to an assist from Hokky Caraka.

Physical differences were not the only challenge #GarudaSelect players face. They also had to fight against the wind blowing quite fast throughout the match.

"The wind here was very strong. It was quite a difficult condition for us because we are not used to play with strong winds. In addition, our opponents also played more physically so it was quite troublesome for us, “Ridho explained.

"We still need to work hard to improve physically and technically, and also we need a better communication on the pitch. For myself, I still need to be better at making decisions," added Ridho.

Furthermore, they will face Cheltenham Town U18 on Friday, April 9, 2021, at 17.30 WIB. The match will be broadcast live, exclusively on Mola TV.
