Lockdown, an opportunity to intensify Physical Exercise

It is expected that that the players can have a better physical condition when they return to competitive game.

The current lockdown in the UK is used by the #GarudaSelect team to focus on physical development exercises. It is expected that that the players can have a better physical condition when they return to competitive game.

Some players admit that physical training is very important. They realize that to be able to compete against players in England, they need better endurance and physical strength.

One of the players who are expected to be able to maximize his physique in this year's program is Ibnul Mubarak. On several occasions, Dennis Wise as the Director of Football said, Ibnul has the ability and courage to compete against players in Europe with a higher posture. He just has to increase muscle mass so he can compete more optimally.

"Every morning I am also asked to practice in front of the hotel room, only after that I will practice running in the field. Even though I feel tired, I have to keep jogging, not just walk. As I keep training every day, I feel changes around my thighs," said Ibnul.

Meanwhile, according to the youngest player ever to join the #GarudaSelect Program, Krisna Sulistia, physical fitness is very important in this condition. The 2020 Soeratin Cup Top Scorer also has a personal target from this physical exercise.

“Personally, I want to maximize my lungs to be even stronger. Then the muscles in places like legs and body should also be strengthened. Alhamdulillah, I am stronger than before because during this lockdown, I focus on training in the gym,” he said.

According to Faqih Maulana, although the various exercises given by the trainer are somewhat exhausting, he does not complain at all because he has felt the positive effects of the physical exercise. At the end of daily physical exercise, they are usually asked to run 4 x 1 kilometers. Every day the distance is increased until seven kilometers.

“The exercise is good to improve my physical abilities so that in the match I can play full-time. I also focus on increasing my muscle mass to be able to compete against European players who are physically very strong,” added Faqih.
