Wahyu hopes that the #GarudaSelect program can pave the way for him to become a professional footballer.
Striker Wahyu Agong learned a valuable lesson from participating in the #GarudaSelect Program. For six months during the third season of #GarudaSelect program, he learned how to become a modern striker with a good vision in football. Wahyu hopes that the #GarudaSelect program can pave the way for him to become a professional footballer.
"As a forward I learned that a striker has to play simply, a maximum of two touches. Too many touches can make the team lose momentum, so that opponents can easily cut or break the attack. In addition, modern strikers also have to work hard to pressure the opposing defenders so that they can't make accurate passing, "said Wahyu, who scored two goals during the Third Season of #GarudaSelect.
"I also learned how to have a good eating habit and an ideal diet for professional football players. We also paid great attention on how to build muscle strength and to improve physicality which are important for football players in England," added Wahyu.
Wahyu himself hopes to be re-elected for the fourth season of #GarudaSelect, which is scheduled to start in October 2021.
"I feel that I still have a lot to learn, that’s why I hope to be selected again to join the Fourth Season of #GarudaSelect program. Here in Indonesia I am ready to work as hard as possible, so that the coaching team will re-elect me to go to England. In my opinion #GarudaSelect is a way to realize the dream of young Indonesians to become professional players abroad like my senior, Bagus Kahfi, who has joined a big Dutch club, FC Utrecht, " Wahyu concluded.
