The current top scorer of #GarudaSelect, M. Faiz Maulana (9 goals), admitted that he could not wait to fight against Palace and Man. City
The third batch of #GarudaSelect team are ready to go all out in the next two matches. They will play against two Premier League club academies, namely Crystal Palace U17 on Saturday, May 8, 2021, and Manchester City U16 on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
The current top scorer #GarudaSelect, M. Faiz Maulana (9 goals), admitted that he could not wait to fight against Palace and Man. City. Faiz wants to prove himself against the defense of the highest level academy teams in England.
"I'm happy to become a top scorer, but to be honest I don't really think about it. I should not be satisfied and I have to always be hungry to score goals," said Faiz.
"Hopefully I can score goals again in the next two games, especially because the opponents are the Premier League club academies. I am sure we can compete and beat them," added Faiz.
The captain of the 3rd Batch #GarudaSelect, Edgard Amping, is highly motivated to win the upcoming matches. "I am very happy to have the opportunity to fight against the academies of big clubs like Palace and Man. City. I am really looking forward to this match because last year we (Garuda Select second batch) did not have the chance to face them due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have prepared ourselves as best as possible by evaluating and correcting mistakes we did in previous matches, "Edgard explained.
"I am very happy to have the opportunity to play with #GarudaSelect against the best academy in England. My physical strength and ability to control emotions have improved. This is an important thing," said Elia Di Giulomaria. "For the matches against Palace and Man. City, I hope I can show a brilliant performance so that I can help the team to win the games. Hopefully, I can also score goals again."
