#GarudaSelect will face against Manchester City Youth on Tuesday (11/5). According to Director of Football #GarudaSelect, Dennis Wise, this match will certainly be different because the opponents are elite-level team from one of the best academies in the world.
"Against Manchester City we have to play energetically throughout the match like we did against Crystal Palace in the first half. Manchester City are a big team with incredible facilities and it will be an important experience for the players to play against them," said Coach Dennis.
"Manchester City also have quality players, so it will be a very difficult match. But as I have said, to compete with them, #GarudaSelect players must play a game like the one we had against Crystal Palace in the first half," says Coach Dennis.
"Manchester City will also give a lot of challenges to our players because they have technique, speed and they are ready to punish us if we make mistakes. They are a very good team, on par with Chelsea and Arsenal. I think we all know what happened when we faced against Chelsea and Arsenal in the first season, " adds Coach Dennis.
Coach Dennis also informs that the meeting against Manchester City Youth will become the last match of the third season #GarudaSelect. Coach Dennis gives his appreciation to the players because this season has been a tough season because they have to go through the COVID-19 pandemic.
"This season has been very difficult for the team because of the pandemic, but I am happy and grateful for the attitude of the players in dealing with these conditions. Of course it is a difficult thing to have to spend a lot of time with a small team while applying the COVID-19 protocol. I want to congratulate the players. I hope they can compete with Manchester City, "says Coach Dennis.
