Dustin Bramantio is determined not to waste precious opportunities provided in the ongoing #GarudaSelect Program. According to him, being selected to come to England along with other players and being able to undergo an intensive training program is one of his big dreams that comes true.
"Of course, I am happy to be able to join the #GarudaSelect because I never thought I could have football training in Europe. Previously I only knew the program through social media. That’s why when my parents told me about this program selection, I was so excited. Now I do not want to waste this golden chance and I will work really hard here," said Dustin.
After three months , Dustin has felt some significant changes in himself, especially in terms of physical and technical matters related to the game. Even so, he does not want to be complacent and is ready to face the challenges that will come in the future.
“The opponents here are fast tall and strong. I want to continue to improve a number of things, starting from a physical strength, a more efficient game, and a better way of defending," he said.
"I want to continue to work hard and prove myself that I can be a better player. Here, the environment is also very supportive for us to continue to develop. Fellow players also support each other to develop together," said Dustin.
In addition, Dustin also feels grateful to be able to gain knowledge directly from experienced coaches, especially Des Walker, who used to be a defender too. "Coach Des often asked me to be more active in communicating and not to play too wide while defending," added Dustin.
The lockdown situation that is still ongoing in England has kept the players focused on excercising to improve their fitness. By doing so, they will be really ready when the competitive match is allowed to resume.
