Daniel and Ridwan Support Each Other as the Right-backs #GarudaSelect

Despite having healthy competition to be selected as first choice in the right back position, they have learned from and support each other.

Daniel Naa and Ridwan Ansori are the right backs of the 3rd batch #Garuda Select team. Despite having healthy competition to be selected as first choice in the right back position, they have learned from and support each other.

"Daniel is a typical hard-working player. He has an advantage in terms of speed and is able to take the ball cleanly. Daniel continues to improve his intuition to get the right timing to pressure opponents or win the ball straight away," said Ridwan.

"According to me, Ridwan is good and strong in ball possession. As a right back, He also can dribble well to build up an attack," said Daniel.

Ridwan's initial position was not as a right-back, but a right winger. After being asked by the #GarudaSelect coaching team to change position, he has worked hard to be able to take on his new role. "I realize that my defensive ability is still not good enough. I still have to improve my ability to guard my opponents so that they do not penetrate easily and to improve my position so I can stop the offensive opponent," said Ridwan, who was born in Bandung on February 13, 2004.

Meanwhile, Daniel thinks that his own ability as a right-back has continued to improve since arriving in England in December 2020. "From the direction and evaluation of the coaching team, I have learned many new things about how to defend and how to take the ball properly and correctly. I have to be extra patient and think carefully before take or grab the ball from the opponent so I do not commit a foul like I did in our first match against Port Vale U-18 (last December), "Daniel explained.

The two right-backs continue to pay more attention to every detail of the training. As players in the same position they compete in a healthy manner. They always give each other encouragement and inputs for the better development of themselves and also better performance of the team.
