Bali Boys in the #GarudaSelect Squad

Coming from the same island, it is not uncommon for them to speak Balinese when they are joking outside the field.

Three talented players from Bali are parts of the #GarudaSelect 3 squad. I Gede Aditya Juli as a goalkeeper, I Putu Dipa Yogi as a defender, and I Gusti Made Rendi Sanjaya Putra as a midfielder. Coming from the same island, it is not uncommon for them to speak Balinese when they are joking outside the field.

"When we are hanging out, the three of us used to speak Balinese. We are talking about many things such as about the current situation in Bali and also about the training we have been doing. I think that is the advantage of having friends from one area when we have to live far from our families," said Dipa. Dipa himself has only known Rendi and Adit since joining #GarudaSelect. Meanwhile, Rendi and Adit have been old friends since their childhood.

"I have known Rendi for a long time since we were together at SSB. Our first SSB is Damar Cakti and we were both there for three years. After that we moved to SSB Putra Dewata until we participated in the process of the #GarudaSelect selection," said Adit.

"Rendy hasn’t known Adit and me for a long time, but we quickly can get along well. The advantage of having friends from one area is that if you miss home, you can talk with them using the local language," said Dipa.

Dipa, Adit, and Rendy have the same dream to play for professional clubs and the Indonesian national team. While participating in #GarudaSelect, they support each other to achieve that dream.

"Usually we encourage each other. I like to tell Rendy and Dipa not to give up easily and to be more confident," said Adit.

“We like to evaluate every practice or match and then give inputs to each other so that we can improve immediately," said Rendy.

"I see Rendy as a player who has good stamina and good passing and crossing. Adit has advantages in communication and good reflexes," said Dipa. "Dipa is a defender who is brave, strong, and tough. Rendy outside the field likes to joke, but on the field he is a serious person," said Adit. "I see Adit and Dipa as hardworking players and they always fight their best either during training or in matches," added Rendy.
