All #GarudaSelect Players and Staffs Take a Swab Test

This activity is carried out as a form of anticipation in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

All #GarudaSelect players and staffs undergo routine SWAB PCR Test at the Loughborough University complex. This activity is carried out as a form of anticipation in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic which is still a major concern in the world.

This test is the second time after the first test was conducted in Jakarta before their departure to England. According to #GarudaSelect Football Director, Dennis Wise, this swab test has become a procedure that has to be done during a pandemic.

In addition, he also hopes that by carrying out this swab test, the condition of the players and staffs can be properly monitored. "Every two months we do a swab test for all players and staffs, so there are doctors who directly come to our place to check," said Wise.

"This is very important in a pandemic situation like this. We might not feel good about it, but it is a process that must be followed.

“Hopefully, all of us will be fine,” said Wise. The players are also enthusiastic to undergo the test. They realize that this is very important to support their daily activities and to carrying out all their routines in UK. "During the pandemic period, this really needs to be done in order to know each other's conditions," said Hokky Caraka.

One of the senior players at #GarudaSelect this season, Rafli Asrul, also emphasizes the importance of always maintaining good health condition. Apart from the discipline of implementing health protocols, swab tests are also important to do.

"In my opinion, this test is important because we must always know our condition in order to remain vigilant in the midst of a pandemic. "On normal days, all players always obey the rules such as to keep distance and so on," said Rafli. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, all players, staffs and coaches have tested negative for COVID-19. However, the entire team is still requested to carry out the existing health protocols.
