According to Adre, confidence building cannot be separated from the efforts of the Coaching Team who always asked the players to be brave in facing all challenges.
The mental development is one of the aspects of the lesson and training given to the players, including Adre Arido, during the #GarudaSelect program. And the program is successful proven by the fact that Adre’s self-confidence has increased after completing the #GarudaSelect Program.
According to Adre, confidence building cannot be separated from the efforts of the Coaching Team who always asked the players to be brave in facing all challenges. In addition, the good results in several matches can be also considered as an indication that the players are becoming more confident in their abilities.
“The coach always awarded gifts to players in order to keep up their spirit in fighting against the opponents. Every opponent is different but the coach always assured the team that there is always a certain solution to face different opponent. That positive encouragement made me calmer and more confident and because of that in many times we were able to perform well, "said Adre.
"Based on that I then think , if we carry out the instructions of the Coach well and work hard to find solutions in the match, then we can calmly face any opponent. That makes me more confident now," added Adre.
Adre hopes that what the Indonesian players gained in the #GarudaSelect Program will be useful for them and for
indonesian football in the years to come. For him, it was really a rare opportunity to directly experience to compete against the best academy teams in Europe.
"Hopefully there will be more young Indonesian players who can experience training in England and also at the same time get the first-hand experience in facing against big teams like Manchester City, Queens Park Rangers or Leeds United. So that later Indonesia will have quality players who are ready to compete with other countries,” Adre concluded.
