Rafli has felt the benefits of the matches held in the #GarudaSelect program.

#GarudaSelect midfielder, Rafli Asrul, can't wait to be able to compete again against the academy teams of the best clubs in England. As one of the players who have been called back to defend #GarudaSelect for two consecutive years, Rafli has felt the benefits of the matches held in the #GarudaSelect program. Many lessons, improvements and unforgettable experiences can be taken from the journey of the #GarudaSelect team competing with one of the best club academies in the world.
"I really want to be able to face the academies of Premier League clubs, such as Chelsea, Leicester City, Arsenal and Manchester City. Last year, we were actually had scheduled to face them, but it was canceled due to a pandemic," said Rafli, who had experience competing against youth teams of Juventus, Inter Milan, Torino and Como when the second batch of #GarudaSelect team last year conducted a tour to Italy.
"As a midfielder, I will be able to learn more in making better decisions, such as when to pass, kick or dribble from them. Because, in the Premier League, one small mistake in making a decision can dearly cost the team with immediate fatal consequences," added Rafli.
Goalkeeper Adre Arido Giovani, who is joining the #GarudaSelect program for the first time in England, hopes to have a chance to face the academy of his favorite club, Manchester United.
"I really want to be able to learn from the goalkeepers of the big club academies in UK how to manage the tempo better and how to play," said the player who idolizes David de Gea.
Meanwhile, Frezy Al-Hudaifi is eager to fight against the academy of the 2019/20 Premier League champion, Liverpool. "Incidentally, I am a Liverpool fan. I want to see first hand and learn how they as a team control and pass the ball," said Frezy.
Besides facing academies from well-known British clubs, the third batch of Garuda Select has also planned to visit Germany. If the situation allows, the #GarudaSelect team can face several academies of big club such as Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Schalke 04, Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Cologne.
